By downloading, installing, or using the Klunk - Log Viewer ("the Application"), you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Application.
1. License
The Application is free to use under a proprietary license. Installation and use are permitted; copying, modification, redistribution, and reverse engineering are not. See the full LICENSE text for the complete terms.
2. Disclaimer of Warranty
3. Limitation of Liability
The developers of the Klunk - Log Viewer are not responsible for any data loss, system failure, security breach, or other issues resulting from the use of the Application. You use the Application entirely at your own risk.
In no event shall the total liability of the developers to you for any damages exceed the amount you paid for the Application (which, as it is provided free of charge, is zero).
4. User Responsibility
- You are solely responsible for the log data you view and for ensuring that you have the necessary authorisation to access and process such data. Do not use the Application to access log data you are not permitted to view.
- You are responsible for securing any credentials — passwords, SSH keys, database connection strings — used to connect to remote sources. Store them securely and do not share them with unauthorised parties.
- You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction when processing log data that may contain personal information (e.g. GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).
5. Proper Use
You agree not to use the Application to:
- Access systems or data without authorisation.
- Engage in any activity that violates applicable laws or the rights of others.
- Circumvent security measures of remote systems you connect to.
6. Third-Party Components
The Application includes third-party open-source libraries (JavaFX, SQLite JDBC, Jackson,
Kubernetes Java Client, JSch, BouncyCastle, and others). Each component is subject to its
own license terms. A full list is available in the project's dependency declarations
(pom.xml).
7. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be reflected in the Last Updated date at the top of this document. Your continued use of the Application after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
